Musical Artists Going Green

Here at Eton Corp, we’re all about going green. From tips on hosting green parties to eco-friendly green cleaning, being green is what we stand for!

We’re not the only people passionate about the green movement. In fact, there are some very familiar faces working to educate the world on green initiatives. Here are some musical influencers on the green scene:

Bonnie Raitt. The fiery redhead helped to found Musicians United for Safe Energy, a group fighting the use of nuclear power. Although her activism landed her in the slammer, the cause is still something she keeps close to her heart.

The Roots. This hip-hop ensemble has strong roots (see what we did there?) in the environmental movement. Not only did the group host a Pre-Grammy Jam & Green Carpet Bash, they are adamant animal lovers, and worked with PETA on the “Stop the Violence: Go Veg” campaign

Willie Nelson In 1985, this legendary singer co-founded the Farm Aid festival alongside Neil Young and John Mellencamp to support American family farmers. Over the course of its 25-year history, Farm Aid has raised and donated more than $30 million to promote organic and locally grown food. Just last year,
Rock the Earth, a leading environmental organization, honored Willie Nelson with the 2012 Planet Defender Award.

From hip-hop to country and everything in between, many musicals acts are treading lighter on the Earth. How are you going green like these stars?
